Went to help out at Siloso Beach this weekend. The experience wasnt really pleasant because the organisers were screwed up, as if they have no experience in handling such big events. Very irresponsible company I would say. Erm but i still learnt something, the ugly side of mankind. Well, i really did not imagine that the people in the company are like that, as in so irresponsible towards their volunteers.

It was clearly stated on the website that:

1. Volunteers are given an exclusive Swatch watch.

2. CIP hours will be given out (if applicable).

1. However, just a few days before the event, the person-in-charge called to say that i might NOT get the watch. Ok fine. But he didnt confirm if i would still get or not get the watch. (This had nothing got to do with the uncertainty principle!) Ok, so i called up again and also asked them on the event days itself. When i asked A (one of the people-in-charge), he would ask me to ask B about it because B is higher rank than A. So I approached A, and A told me to tell B because he's my supervisor. I mean, what is this?! Nvm..

For your info, they said they didnt want to give out anymore watches because they are afraid that we wont turn up for the rest of the event days. This is becoz many people didnt turn up after getting their watch. Its so unfair right? I dont see the need to trust the organisers when they dont even trust their helpers.

2. When I asked them about CIP hours, both A and B told me they weren't sure what the CIP hours is about and even asked me to explain to them about this "programme". I was appalled by this fact that they actually wrote it on their website and doesnt understand anything at all. So well, luckily i wrote the letter myself and got them to sign. If not, i gonna be more pissed. F5!!
